6th math work
MMS Math Website
Dear Parents, Guardians, and/or Students,
In light of recent events, the sixth grade math team has decided to begin our end of the year review early. Almost all of the material in the packet that is attached has been covered in class already, except for Measures of Central Tendency (Section 6.11) and the last part of 6.7 involving circles. Currently, we are working on the geometry of triangles, rectangles and circles (Section 6.7). The packet is organized numerically (6.1, followed by 6.2, then 6.3, and so on). We ask that students complete the entirety of Section 6.7 in the packet, and begin working on the even problems of the remaining sections, other than 6.11. We ask that students make an effort to spend one hour each school day working on these problems to keep their skills sharp. We have a link for IXL listed below with important units that go over some of the problems that students will be working on. We also have useful links for students that will be sent to their school emails (ending in @wmlcps.org). If you have any questions or concerns, please email one of us at auslendersa@wmlcps.org, huberttg@wmlcps.org, nelsonea@wmlcps.org, or brownml@wmlcps.org. We will do our best to reply as soon as possible! Completed or not, students must bring their packets back to school when instruction resumes. We will be flexible, all we ask is that you try your best!
